Dear Chapter-Delegates,

In 2012 the Internet Society will celebrate a major milestone -- our 20th
anniversary. As part of our 20th anniversary initiatives, we will host the
Global INET 2012, a stimulating international forum bringing together
thought leaders, Internet pioneers, and technical and policy experts to
share their views and perspectives on timely and critical topics.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in
contributing ideas and concepts for the Global INET 2012 tagline. Your
creative ideas and contributions were deeply appreciated. We received more
than 50 original and inspiring suggestions from our chapter delegates.
Through a collaborative process that involved the ideas and feedback from
this program, we emerged with our selected tagline: ³Meeting at the
Crossroads: Imagining the Future Internet.²

We hope you will mark your calendar for 22-24 April 2012, and join us in
Geneva at the Global INET 2012. With high-powered keynote speakers,
thought-provoking panel discussions, and interactive workshops, this event
will be a unique opportunity to join your peers in developing a vision for
the explosive growth of the Internet over the next 20 years. Additionally,
you will not want to miss other event highlights such as a Gala awards
dinner and networking opportunities with other chapter delegates, key
businesses, NGOs, academics, and Internet pioneers.

Additional information on our programme, speakers, registration, and special
Chapter workshops will be available shortly.

We look forward to welcoming you to Geneva!

Regards,
20th Anniversary & Global INET 2012 Communications Team
