Thank you for accommodating this change of schedule, it is much appreciated.
The Town Hall event was a late addition to the schedule, co-organised by
the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), the Non-Commercial Users
Constituency (NCUC), the North American Regional At-Large Organization
(NARALO) and the Public Voice Coalition.
Its timing was delimited by the choice of location which needed to be
outside the ICANN meeting itself, while being located close to the
Westin St. Francis. It aims to reach out to an audience that's not
necessarily the "usual suspects" - ICANN meetings often have a tendency
to preach to the converted.
I hope that ISOC members present in SFO will take the opportunity to
attend what looks like a pretty promising Town Hall debate. Several
Internet Society members are involved with its logistics and details are
being worked out to make it available as a WebCast.
Kind regards,
Olivier
