Dear all
You may have seen the announcement today relating to the long-expected final allocation of IPv4 addresses to the Regional Internet Registries.
Both Lynn St Amour representing the Internet Society and Olaf Kolkman, representing the Internet Architecture Board /IETF participated in the press conference this morning in Miami, Florida alongside the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers and the Number Resources Organization to mark the occasion.
(If you missed the press conference or were experiencing bandwidth issues during the live webcast, there will be a video posted asap)
We have posted statements relating to this milestone on the website. You can view them at the links below – feel free to share or link to them:

Bing and Juniper Networks join World IPv6 Day
The allocation of the final IPv4 addresses is the latest milestone in the evolution of the Internet. To support the next stage of this Internet evolution and the deployment of IPv6, the Internet Society is coordinating World IPv6 day on 8th June. The more organizations that participate in this test flight, the more effective the test is for all concerned. Consequently, we are pleased to announce that both Juniper Networks and Microsoft Bing have committed to join the ‘test flight’. There’s more information about their participation here.
Regards
Anya
