Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Internet Society Board of Trustees, I write to let you know that Larry Lessig has resigned as a member of the Board for personal reasons.

While I and my fellow members of the Board regret his departure, I want to extend my deep appreciation for his engagement and contributions. The Internet Society organization and community have benefitted from Larry's service, and we look forward to his continued engagement and support for our mission.

As specified in the Internet Society bylaws, the Board of Trustees will be making an appointment to fill the vacancy for the remainder of his term. Additional details will be shared as they become available.
