Hello Bill Graham
As a matter of design, the intelligence of the network is predominantly at

While stating that the intelligence is at the edges, it could also be stated
that the network is designed to be 'stupid', in a nice way, to emphasize the
end to end principle, state the rationale for it, explain not only how it
works, but also present key arguments on why the Internet should broadly and
and as much as possible, adhere to this principle?
This is a very basic concept about the Internet, but it surprising that it
is not so well understood outside the Internet Community circles.
