Just to be clear I would point out that while I am sure all in the chapter
support the statement it was not directly an ISOC-NY effort, but that of
one of our members on his own, and the other signers, behalf.
If you would like to summarize the statement I'd be very interested to read
it. I myself had a little trouble coming with a headline!
The statement feels very complimentary to me this last week with another
local activity - the launch of Tim Wu's new book 'The Master Switch' In the
book Wu extends his Net Neutrality arguments to their logical conclusion –
that a “Separations Principle” is necessary to preserve communication

Unlike net neutrality, still a woolly concept at best, in the case of the
wider separation principle Wu is able to make his case - that content and
transport should be independent - in simple terms I think most people will
have no trouble in understanding.
