Hello Joly,
That may be because it started out being called something like 'the Hadopi
Working Group'.
However, as the ISOC membership Working Group is examining other emerging
policy responses as well as the French 'Hadopi' law, I tend to describe it
as:
ISOC Working Group on emerging policy responses (around the world) to
copyright infringement via the Internet
Last year we sent out a call for volunteers and presently there are about 40
individual and org. members in the WG from Africa, Asia, Europe, North
America, the Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. The WG has
participants from Chapters, content and services providers, technical
experts, the academic community, end-users, lawyers and others.
The WG has identified and is examining various emerging policy responses
including suspension of Internet access, traffic shaping, blocking and
filtering in the copyright context. We are looking at issues such as the
potential impact of these policies on Internet access, other Internet
applications and uses, the Internet architecture and the overall Internet
model, privacy and security etc.
As this is on the Chapters list, I would like to take this opportunity to
publicly thank everyone on the WG for their ongoing commitment to this
project, and to compliment everyone for not only their own very valuable
individual contributions but also their overall collaborative approach to
the WG's work. I cannot over emphasise the great work that these ISOC
members having been doing. Many thanks everyone!
Joly, and others, please let me know if you would like to join the WG. You
would be most welcome.
Best regards,
Christine

Hi Christine,
This is the first I've heard of this Working Group. Are any details
available?
Is ISOC going to come up with an official response to ACTA, particularly
before it's a done deal?
