(Please forgive me if you get this posting twice - my previous
trial bounced back and I was not sure, if it was distributed properly)
Dear Collegues,
I have a long record of fruitful cooperation, with the following persons
mentioned in the ISOC-AZ application:
1. Dr Elchin Aliyev - with whom we realized several Internet
Infrastructure regional projects in Caucasus region - Virtual Silk
Highway, Black Sea Interconnection, etc.
2. BSc Samad Abasov - with whom I realized several Cisco Academy
training projects
3. Dr Ulkar Bayramova - with whom I realized several Internet
Infrastructure local projects in Azerbaijan - e.g. University campus
networks in Nakhchivan and Lankaran, CERT and NetAcademy Alliance
trainings in CEE, etc.
The staff of:
- SINAM
- AzEduNet
have helped me in installation of networks in various parts of Azerbaijan
Last but not least, I welcome support of Ministry of Communication &
IT (in general) and the Minister prof. Academician Ali Abasov (in
particular), with who I have contacts since 8+ years.
What concerns other points of application, let me:
- welcome the stress which is put on usage of other languages. There
are several minorities living on a territory of Azerbaijan and the
support to their culture and language is essential. In this context I
welcome the presence of Dr Bayramova in the group of founding member
(she is from from small minority of Talysh, living in South of
Azerbaijan).
- let you know that the President of the Country (Mr Ilham Aliyev)
declared IT as the second most important (after oil) industry of the
country and set in motion massive ICT projects (internetization of all
schools).
With kindest regards,
Jacek Gajewski
