Just to ponder the take down of domain names by authorities. The anti-virus, anti-botnet, etc.. community is mildly supporting it...

It is certainly an irony that, after Hillary Clinton's speech earlier in the year emphasizing the USG's support for the Open Internet, that they are mucking with DNS and encouraging, even tacitly, site blocking. 
I note in today's Wikileaks releases there's some interesting insight into the reaction to that speech in China, where US Diplomats concluded that it had had the opposite effect of that intended, actually re-inforcing the censors.
