FYI - here's the PIR statement:

 "We are the registry of .ORG domain names and have not been contacted by any governmental authorities regarding the domain. We suggest contacting the registrar for further information."

The story, is everydns, a registrar for dot org, decided to shaft the domain wikileaks.org after being under massive DDOS attack (and may be other external pressure?). PIR is not involved here.

Several mailing lists are buzzing, about US gov taking down domain names, about the (D)DOS on wikileaks (is (D)DOS justified or not?),...

A ton of questions, that is in the realm of ISOC policy program. What's ISOC point of view while trying to stay away from the fight?
