[Chapter-delegates] Bug in the AMS system

Dear Eduardo,

thanks for sharing this - so I do not feel any longer as if I were the
only one who sees problems.

The Cambodia Chapter is not yet really functional, because we wanted to
start-up with a membership drive using the ISOC system provided - but
with every new user, we still discover something which is not clear or
creates questions for the new user, where we hoped it would rather
provide an easily understandable inviting access.

Thanks to those at HQ who work on it - but it takes much more time than
we thought. Now some little changes have not been made because of the
holidays - I remember holidays, but how can I explain this here, where -
European, Western, whatever traditional - holidays do not exist. Or how
to explain, in our vibrant, emerging IT world, that ISOC - the INTERNET
society - does not allocate more staff time to have its core software -
the membership admin - redone in in a couple of weeks, and not only in
several years.

But still: The Internet is for everyone! So we continue to struggle,

Norbert Klein
Chair, Cambodia Chapter
