All
I wish to formally thank all that have supported my election, and also
to offer my appreciation for both Eduardo and Andy for all of their
efforts for ISOC and particularly as candidates in the chapters
election. They have taken this exercise extremely seriously, and I
hope we continue to draw strength from their abilities and efforts,
for both ISOC and Internet development.

This is a task I take extremely seriously, and appreciate the faith
you have placed in me.

I trust all of the chapters, and organisational members, will feel
free to raise any issue of interest with me directly. Indeed, I
welcome it and hope I can assist.

Please also excuse my tardiness in thanking everyone - those of you
who know me well also know that it is extemely rare for me to be
"offline" (indeed, I think it is years since!) and last week, I was on
holiday in New Zealand. When this news came out I was probably on a
horse, riding in the area filmed in the Lord of the Rings as Mordor:
without a computer and completely out of coverage.

Yes, I was very surprised logging in today.

Once again, thank you to everyone, and I hope to make the first
meeting in Brussells in June.

Best regards
