is folded into Drumbeat, is there any merger agreement that would legally
prevent OneWebDay from continuing on its own?
If there is no such legal arrangement, from Chapters we can team up and
carry it forward along its ORIGINAL plans.
You mentioned that there was a suggestion to rename it OneNetDay, if
renaming is desirable, why not "Internet Day?"
Isoc provided initial funds. Now if Chapters are to 'inherit' OWD, it may
not be a bad idea to apply for a joint community grant. + We can think of
funds from Ford, Word Press and brainstorm for more donors. We can also make
some joint efforts such as a fresh social networking portel, co-developed
collaboratively with participation from those who are good at web
development.
( I am setting up a small Web Development division, which will have skillful
resources to be committed to such an exercise.
http://www.isolatednetworks.com ) At Chennai we have a few more members who
are talented in WebDevelopment who can team up with you and others from
elsewhere to get OWD re-launched on a more impressive scale.
Shiva.
