Dear Colleagues,

 

I'm pleased to let you know that yesterday we had a new staff member join
the Chapters & Individual members team. Her name is Chok Jen Lau and she
joins ISOC as a Co-ordinator for Chapters and Individual members and is
based in the Geneva office.


Chok Jen will provide much needed administrative support for the roles of
Manager and Senior Manager for Chapters and Individual members. Her main
duties will include (but will not be limited to) programme support
(contacting applicants, ensuring following up); assisting with work to
ensure compliance with ISOC Chapter policies; organizing and documenting
meetings both on-line and in person;  providing first line support to
Chapters and Individual members in addressing and resolving queries;
contacting Chapters pro-actively and regularly; updating schedules,
information and WIKI/intranet/web updates; facilitating the distribution of
outreach materials and much more!

We are very excited to have Chok Jen working with us. She was previously an
account executive at Reuters where she handled more than 200 accounts. She
also has significant experience of working in an international and
multi-lingual environment.  She has a very strong customer focus, combined
with excellent language skills. She is of Dutch-Chinese origin and her
native tongues are Dutch and Hokkien. She can also speak English, Italian,
French and German and has a degree in Human Resource Management.
