I hate to say this, but I seem to remember that we go through this question year after year.
Right now, I can't recall why there is the number of people from each of the different constituencies - perhaps someone could enlighten us on this, or pull the best post on the topic from the archives?
The make up of any board is dictated by the constitution of the organisation itself. Constitutions take time to change, and need to have a solid justfication.
I'm not arguing it shouldn't be different, rather that the process has been discussed previously, and our dissatisfaction with it been expressed previously.
All I can say, and this is something I can commit to, is that as one of the nominees, I will ensure I look into it, ensure it is discussed at the Board and report back in a timely fashion, if elected.
Regards
Narelle
Vice President ISOC-AU

HelloT
Just as there is a process to petition for delayed nomination with six signatures, is there a way to petition the Nominating Committee with sixty signatures for a more balanced Chapter representation in the Board? Chapters need at least as many seats in the Board as Organizational Members for a greater balance in deliberations.
Thanks.
