[Chapter-delegates] ISOC Board Meeting Update

I haven't had time to read the report, but thank Veni for his
thoughtful comments. I believe that many of his concerns are echoed by
the New York chapter.

Briefly:

I imagine that the 'news' thing will ultimately be a bit of a
non-starter. However, some improved form of aggregation and
syndication of notable material, both via chapters and individual
members is desirable.

I agree 'the" definite article is questionable, and could be seen as
hubris - but I do see, particularly from Lynn's recent interviews,
that leadership is concerned that defense/promotion of the "internet
model" is becoming a prine concern, and there is nobody else quite as
dedicated as such.

I did find the lack of (financial) detail in the W3C announcement a
little ingenuous - it also made it a kind of non-story.

I am also interested to know the reasons for the lack of support for GIPI.

Lastly I welcome the establishment of a North American Regional Bureau
 - we already established an ISOC-US mailing list - which can be found
