[Chapter-delegates] ISOC Board Meeting and Resolution to Support Evolution of W3C Organizational Structure

Hello,

ISOC grant of US $ 2.5 million over three years would supplement W3C's
annual revenue by fees that ranges from about 1000 Euro for a non-profit
organization in a low-income country to about 70000 Euro for a profit
organization in a high income country.

1. Does this grant of 2.5 million dollars over three years go towards any
specific program or any specific improvement at W3C ?  "to help make w3c
more independent sounds insufficient as a description.

2. Apart from the W3C spending this grant on useful programs efficiently, it
could also conserve its resources by aligning better with ISOC. W3C could,
for a start, align its TPAC meeting to IETF meetings which if organized as a
single event, would conserve resources, and enhance the overall 'bandwdith'
by having W3C experts and IETF experts together for a meeting at the same
place. Web Standards are part of Internet Standards, if we view the Web as
part of the Internet.  So why should the IETF and W3C meetings be separate?
