Dear Colleagues,

You are warmly invited to join our next call on 9th December at UTC  
11.00 and 20.00 to discuss the establishment of Operating Principles  
for ISOC Chapters and ISOC Global.  The discussion will address the  
following topics:

* Alignment (Chapter to Global; chapter leadership to membership)
* Representation (Are leaders elected, (s)elected, self-appointed?)
* Involvement (Are members engaged, apathetic, blocked out?)
* Responsiveness (To Global; to members)
* Civility/Openness (Are discussions respectful and open to alternate  
views?)
* Flexibility (Does the Chapter resist or respond positively to change?)
* Financial Soundness
* Overall Effectiveness

These will eventually become an integral part of the Affiliation  
agreement.  The conversation will draw upon the high level vision  
draft document prepared by the Sphere labels group earlier this year:

the call. If you are not able to, please consider asking another  
member of the Chapter to join instead. We are looking to have as much  
diversity of the Chapters reflected in the attendance of those on the  
call.
