I'd like to direct your attention to the 2008 mid-year report for the
InterNetWorks initiative, attached. This briefly outlines some of the
key areas of activity and achievement in the 3 program areas we
defined last year (Global Addressing, Common & Open Internet and
Security & Stability).

At the same time, we are engaged in business planning updates for
2009-11. The attached strategic outlook document outlines the broad
arc along which we are aiming to further these activities in 2009 and
beyond.

As you review this, I would particularly appreciate your thoughts on
key areas immediately challenging the Internet and not addressed in
the existing or proposed programs, suggestions for new venues or
audiences to engage to address the larger goal, or any specific
expected challenges on the longer term horizon.

Input received in the next 2 weeks will be particularly useful for
affecting our 2009-11 business plan document for the ISOC Board's
budget process, but input is always appreciated at any time!

Best regards,
Leslie.

P.S.: I'm sending this now to get it into your hands as early as
possible. However, I will apologize in advance if I am a bit slow in
acknowledging replies: we are pretty much off the network this week
as we are in meetings.
