Marcin,
I'm with you on this. I still have in mind the 1996 Montréal INET which
many consider as a major step for to establish ISOC's ?credibiilty?. And
I think that it would be a clever move to reshape the INET with a broad
multipurpose coverage (and exposure):
1- A major event that would ease participation for all those who can't
travel as much as needed to ?cover? meetings of specific interest.
2- An event that would gather IETF, ICANN, NGSO (you can add or delete
the one you like) and would cover broadly all topics of ISOC concern.
3- An event that would allow specific meetings (workshops..) that the
attendees (chapter delegates for instance) could assist to in a short 3
or 4 days period (OK maybe 5 days)
4- An event that could be broascasted worldwide...on the Net of course
5- An event where ISOC could manage to publish abstracts in a few languages
6- An event that should be made available considering affordable
traveling expenses
7- An event that could be held in different geographic regions of the
globe (NA-Asia,Europe, South America-Africa-and so forth)
8- An event that should bring to some consensus on ONE important topic
that we would like to focus on (it could be in line with the Sphere
project 7 subjects)
