Dear delegates,
Unfortunately I have missed the opportunity to send some questions to
the board before the March meeting, but I think it might be nevertheless
to get opinion of the ISOC board members and board candidates reading
this list about how do you think should the Internet Society community
handle events like this:
* Site blocking in Armenia (mentioned on this list)
http://elists.isoc.org/pipermail/chapter-delegates/2008-March/003551.html
* Telia/Cogent split:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.org.operators.nanog/54206
http://gigaom.com/2008/03/14/the-telia-cogent-spat-could-ruin-web-for-many/
* Major broadband provider filters email based on URL:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.org.operators.nanog/53263
* ARIN discusses IPv4 Transfer Policy:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.org.arin.ppml/983
I am not asking about the *opinion* on those particular developments, I
would like to know whether:
1) you believe that such subjects lie within interest of the ISOC community
2) how do you think ISOC should respond on such issues - what the
process should be
3) how to deal with proper timing in dealing with 'hot' Internet issues
(QandA2008 at isoc.org is Cc'd)
