[Chapter-delegates] OECD seeking YouTube video: "How can the Internet make the world a better place?"

Hello Gunela,
Nice to see you on the Chapter mailing list. :-)
And oh yes we will absolutely work together. I do applaud the accessibility
SIG initiative. And I will help as much as I can.
I will not be in Seoul, sadly.
But I do think it is a good idea to collect the info of the people who are
interested in the Disability work.
Such starting group can help creating the disability-nexus and the closer
cooperation between the ISOC-Chapters on Disability work.
We should not re-invent the wheel every time.
And we can then figure out a way to communicate and how to work together.
Gunela, you can indeed make comments and you can also tell them that ISOC is
serious about the fact that internet is for everyone. Including people with
a disability.
Sincerely
Arnoud

There are many ways that we, as Chapters can work together to influence
change so that the Internet is much more accessible.
ISOC Australia held a meeting last year on enabling communications.
Notes are at: http://www.isoc-au.org.au/TCCM/syd060607.html
We are setting up an accessibility SIG list in Australia and will be
happy to share anything relevant with the chapters. We look forward to
working with Arnoud and are delighted with ISOC's recognition of the
need for improved accessibility for people with disabilities.
Arnoud, will you be attending the OECD meeting in Seoul? Will there be
other chapter delegates with an interest in accessibility attending? If
so, we could meet face to face to share and discuss ideas. I would be
keen to meet like-minded people during my Seoul visit. The Civil Society
stream doesn't have any speakers on accessibility for people with
disabilities. However, I'm sure we can make comments from the floor.
Regards,
Gunela Astbrink
