Dear Sivasubramanian,

It is good to hear of your interest in the IGF. As the IGF is not in
any formal way connected with ISOC, it is up to the local chapter to
decide on their engagement. I don't know if the chapters in Brazil or
Greece were involved in any way with the organizers of the first two
IGF meetings.

Again, to my knowledge, the Indian government has not yet arranged any
preparatory meetings. All meeting arrangement for the IGF are
normally announced on the IGF Secretariat web site
<www.intgovforum.org>, or on the local host's web site if they decide
to create one. They haven't yet done so, yet. I believe it is the
Ministry of Communications and Information Technology who is
organizing the event. They posted a presentation about the planning
process near the top of the same web site.
