[Chapter-delegates] Fwd: Request for participation - ISOC 'Sphere' Project

Hi Fred,

To be more specific, we're talking about translating the study on the 
Governance of the contents on the Internet,  for the Internet community 
who is not famliar with French. Is it of interest to ISOC who is 
definitely an international and multilingual community? Is the study of 
any interest to the Internet community ? If so, let's start working 
global. Who will decide for that ?

Let's put it as simple as it is. I mentionned that the «editorial 
policy», if I may say so, would be decided by Anne's group during what 
we could call a «pilot project». Should everything be translated ? Some 
basic translation is easy to make from French to English and English to 
French. (I also like the idea of  «offrecer a nuestros amigos del NARALO 
y otros membros del ISOC la possibilidad de leer el documento en Espanol 
tambien», since it's feasable. Knowledge sharing will just be easier, 
then.)

Now, the study is 248 pages long (and the annexes, I dare not to tell). 
It's nice to put forward that Chapters should do the job but who can I 
convince to translate for free a study that is already available in it's 
native language ?

For instance, ISOC World and the NARALO,s position on multilingual 
broadcasting of documents includes French, English and Spanish (see the 
wikis). Those three languages should be used for our minimal information 
sharing. It's a matter of KM sharing. We're here to share, to promote, 
to help, to enhence, to facilitate . And we'll take care of Mandarin 
later on, as soon as we can (my dauther would be deligthed to know that, 
I'll send you her picture if you wish, you will understand).

And, finally, «all of ISOC's web site and every IETF publication» is not 
essentially what I want translated. I'm talking about the study. The 
rest belongs to ISOC's future and we will have many opportunities to 
talk it over again...
