Just to inform you ISOC Belgium is on day-by-day basis in contact with
it's members and internet users in Belgium. This is partly done through
our website in 3 languages, a forum and by means of communications
through affiliated organisations. We reach monthly about 10.000 people
through fora and news feeds.

Indeed regional representatives are important as they have to full fill
the mission statement as well as the global goal of ISOC. Nevertheless
listening to the internet users community is a very time consuming
activity. And as we all know not every internet user is IT-Internet
lettered and requires a lot of information before he/she can understand
rules and regulations we have to deal with. That's also part of Internet
governance = listen to those who are consuming your product/service.

My peace of 5 cents ...

Rudi Vansnick
President - CEO Internet Society Belgium vzw
