Carlos,
I think the MUST has the significance you are talking about. I think it
is based on the definition of SHOULD, MUST, etc from IETF documents.
May be a footnote is needed, and MUST should be capitalised.
As I'm at it, it is important that chapters can sign off on the BRIMS,
this is why I suggested that ISOC do a conference call with the
Chapters, do not miss it.
ISOC is now putting a lot of resources in the development of Chapters
relations, and the promotion of Chapters. You may have noticed the
change in the last ISOC Annual report, which features some activities
of Chapters. I personally think that this Annual Report is now useful
for Chapters, as people can understand why there are chapters out there.
I think next year Annual Report will feature more on Chapters
Activities, so that the annual report become a full promotional material
for the Chapters and ISOC as a whole.
But back to the BRIMS, when the BRIMS are signed off, then we will move
towards designing a membership system that fits all of ISOC
specificities. When the design is signed off, then the membership system
will be developed. A long road, but I think a better road.
Terry and Anne are doing a great job, let's bring them our support by
participating with them in the development of ISOC.
Cheers
