Dear friends,
I think the question here is not that ISOC have its own SN platform or 
no, this group created on Facebook ( and it is not mine :) ) was just 
created to let people connected on facebook get together and know each 
other more by the fact that they know already that they are ISOC members 
and that's the sens  of any SN.
It is our everyone choice to be part or no of any SN platfron that may 
exist Facebook, Hi5, Myspace, linkedIn, ... and we can be registered on 
one of them without being member of an ISOC group.
In my sens, I think the better is that ISOC try to be present on those 
SN because in all cases it is considered as a marketing tool also for 
ISOC the be present so every person that I know on linkedIn for example 
see that I belong to an ISOC group will ask about ISOC and try to 
understand more and then become member.
If I found people that I knew at the school it could be helpful that 
they know that I am member in ISOC ...
