Alejandro,
I have no problem regarding merging both groups. The decision belong to 
the community, I was just informing Veni about the existence of our and 
trying to void any double-usage.
I agree with you that those "social-networking platforms" are place 
where our actual and future members are already active, and we should be 
aware as you said but also use those places to recruit more new members.
I remember even discussing with Lynn and Michel Nelson about if we 
should create an ISOC chapter on "Second Life". This place where already 
some American Universities are giving courses on Second Life.
