New Worldwide Internet Leaders appointed to the Public Interest Registry
.ORG Advisory Council
RESTON, VA April 05, 2007 - The Public Interest Registry (PIR) announced
today the appointment of 3 new Worldwide Advisory Council members and the
reappointment of 3 current Advisory Council members to fill expiring term
open seats. The Advisory Council, created in 2003, is one of PIR's key
resources established to solicit input from and be responsive to the needs,
concerns, and views of the global noncommercial Internet community in the
management of the .ORG generic Top Level Domain registry.
New members include:
Frans Gerbosch: Europe (NWZ Projex)
Ala'a Al-Din Kadhem Al-Radhi: Asia (CIPE)
Khaled Koubaa: Africa (ICT Independent Consultant)
Returning members include:
Dave Kissoondoyal: Africa (Teleforma Mauritius, Ltd.)
Lori Schulman: North America (March of Dimes)
John Zoltner: South America (ICT Consultant)
PIR is delighted to be able to get such highly qualified people to serve on
the Advisory Council, said Eva Frolich, interim President and CEO of PIR.
The work of the Advisory council is highly appreciated and valued by the
PIR Board.
Previous .ORG Advisory Councils have been instrumental in advising PIR on
issues central to the .ORG community including global outreach and data

organizations bidding to operate the .ORG top-level domain. PIR assumed
control of the registry on 1 January 2003.
