Dear colleagues,

First I would propose another proposition regarding ISOC chapters "BEST
CHAPTER OF THE YEAR".

An award for the best chapter of the year, an amount will be given to
the best chapter chosen by a committee in respect of criteria ( number
of event organized, involvement in the policy, education, ... )
proportionnaly with the size and budget of the chapter. This award will
normally encourage chapters to do more and best. The financial amount
given is in the same time an encouragement.

Luc,

I am also happy that a chapter news site will be linked to www.isoc.org
and I am volunteer to help with this action essentially with Arabic and
French languages.

Nevertheless I had some remarks to evoke :

- Why TikiWiki and not another open source solution ? As I know a wiki
is not very News oriented solution ! ISOC had as I know his wiki yet.

- Why having one site and many other independent bricks at side ? Why
don't have a solution where every thing is integrated.

I had suggested Joomla as open source CMS solution. Peter agreed with me
( we discussed in the WSIS ) that Joomla is the best open source CMS
with a very big developer community and a very big number of component
developed and adapted to be added to the core of Joomla.

Joomla can integrate all needed aspects : membership management, web
page for each chapter, blog, wiki, e-commerce, forum, event management, ...

Even all the other open source solution as TikiWiki can be integrated
with Joomla.

Veni,

Thank you very match for those two more points. And the Tunisian chapter
will be very happy to invite ISOC to organize an AfrIGF during the
second WSIS anniversary in Tunisia.

During this event we can organize an Educating Workshop for the Tunisian
ministries.

Our chapter will be responsible of all organisations aspects needed for
this pilot action.

Regards.
