[Chapter-delegates] ISOC Board next meeting -- NET NEUTRALITY

All:
I agree that the issue of network neutrality should be an item of
discussion within ISOC's next Board meeting. Perhaps the Board can
provide guidelines for a discussion and a process for adoption of a
position. I would suggest that we ask US chapters most affected by
this issue to conduct education among their leadership and members.
Although this issue is based on pending US legislation the global
implications need to be explored and understood as well.

I agree with Gene that Network Neutrality is a major issue yet I
believe that ISOC is big enough for those on both sides of the issue
to conduct a civil dialogue without fear of exclusion. Such a
dialogue would be healthy and will lead to our growth as we assume a
proactive role on key issues affecting the internet community.
Warmest regards,
Ramón Morales
