[Chapter-delegates] ISOC Board next meeting

As one involved both in the chapters and also in the elections (as staff
support) I think Veni has it right when he asks for some focus on
possible proposals for discussion at the board meeting. As I read Lynn's
note I did not see the voice of an authoritarian but rather the voice of
someone who cares to be fully fair to all three of the good candidates
who stood for election by chapters. The election process is not yet
final and the note is written in that light. I did not see any slight
intended or communicated - Lynn recognized the good intentions being
displayed. Given that this list is for chapter business I thought her
note and Veni's subsequent note were both well done. And I hope that the
result is a full and productive board meeting in Morocco.
I encourage people on this list to engage in the discussion regarding
possible things for board consideration much as Gene Gaines did this
morning regarding Network Neutrality.
Best regards,
David

Jacques, colleagues,
please!
I hope that Lynn will be distributing to the new Trustees a handbook
about what they are supposed to do, what's the conduct of behaviour,
etc., etc.
It's highly recommended to have the proposal of Franck, Patrick and
me discussed, rather than Lynn's remarks.
So, if chapters have suggestions for the coming board meeting,
please, focus on that.
Otherwise chapters will prove they can argue (something we all know),
but don't feel confident to contribute. ..
