Well, I can confirm that the Italian chapter is not using the new
membership system, and not even thinking of doing so. The person in our
group that deals with membership told me that she tried, she had plenty
of contacts with HQ about it, but in the end we can't get anything good
out of it, so we'll continue with our own spreadsheets and online form
(one simple page: you fill your data, you click, you receive email
confirmation and instructions on how to pay by bank transfer or online
credit card transaction).

It's not a matter of bad will on our part... it's simply not working
even remotely at least as good as the system we have now, so why should
we migrate? In any case, I think that Chapters should be free to either
use the HQ membership system or get prospect members redirected to their
membership system, as they like: for example, in Europe there also are
significant legal and practical implications in letting the personal
data of your members be stored outside of the EU.
