Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for your kind support.
I had a meeting yesterday with KPO officials at their offices where we
concluded,
among others, that I:-
(a) conduct a comprehensive needs study
(b) develop a commensurate ICT strategy
(c) organise Internet resource talks/seminars/workshops for their members
(d) follow ICDRI on your offer for technical assistance related to the user
interfaces needed for people with disabilities
(e) follow ICDRI on the technical consultancy on products used to access the
Internet for people with disabilities and,
(f) report to you the KPO's warmest appreciation of you very kind support
and my personal gratitude. I too, look forward to working with you on
this
project.
(g) They have a documentary CD I could post to you if give us your postal
address.
Perhaps as soon as Njeri finalises the minutes of our meeting I will send
them
to you (off-list?)
Best regards,
Alex Gakuru
PS: Tim Wanyonyi, The KPO CEO is an a distinguished Lawyer who gladly
agreed to join the Centre for Law in ICT Administration, whose vision is
"a just e-space". This is a multi-disciplinary resource centre focussing on
ICT-Legal perspectives.
