Regretfully you remain in denial regarding the membership system fiasco.

Your action to fix basic deficiencies of ISOC membership system is 
overdue by over two years. Instead you decided to force all chapter 
delegates to use a automated torture machine where:

1. it is NOT possible to enter member's name in proper form for people 
using scripts other than american.

2. it is NOT possible to change member's email.

3. it is NOT possible to translate user interface into other language

4. it is NOT possible to edit chapter's profile beyond its name and URL

5. for member the only available way to join chapter is through 
cumbersome "shopping procedure" with $0 value for "chapter membership".

I listed just five basic deficiencies but there is much much more. On 
the other side ISOC members and chapters still wait to see a single 
reason we are forced to use it.

Up to now balance for the whole membership system goes as follows: no 
benefits and huge costs in terms of money, member's disappointment and 
irritation, unnecessary technical barriers. Basically it is simply a 
shame to ask an internet literate person to use it.

Sending such a request during the current WSiS debate reminds all of us 
about ridiculus limitations of our membership management system and 
possibly can be used by other side as a proof that ISOC is structurally 
unable to hire a technically competent staff and to deliver a basic 
functionality for itself. While ISOC is struggling to assemble a simple 
database ITU for sure is able to hire a help necessary to run a grown-up 
CRM system without making a commitment to display a free advertisement 
of supplier on the main page.
