ISOC chapters can be a fabulous vehicle for general education on a range of Internet access and technology systems.
We've run evening meetings on IPv6 (and will probably do more) and one day conferences on a range of technical and social topics. See www.isoc-au.org.au/DTF05, http://www.isoc-au.org.au/CTF03/, http://www.isoc-au.org.au/DTF, and http://www.isoc-au.org.au/CTF
The most successful events tap local infrastructure and whoever is visting from the broader ISOC at the time. There is a surprising amount of travel going on!
We all need to be reminded that when that miracle occurs and you get some reason to travel, it is worth visiting the other ISOC chapters.
WiFi is another good example of where ISOC can add value to members and the wider community.

Why not just point to ISOC bloggers? Compile a list and have it on the ISOC web site linking to the blogs of ISOC members, and chapter reps.

Agreed, though must admit we're all pressed for time...
