On Saturday, I have tried to subscribe to the "memberpubpol" list
(http://elists.isoc.org/mailman/listinfo/memberpubpol), where I have
been told that a discussion on this matter has been started. The
subscription apparently requires approval by a moderator, and as far as
I know I have not been approved yet: that's normal, being a weekend, but
still I would like to be able to participate to that discussion.
Unfortunately, even the list archives are private and restricted to list
members, so I cannot even watch what is happening. So I would be very
grateful to you if, if possible, you helped getting me subscribed.

At the same time, may I make the suggestion that ISOC policy discussions
among members happen in public? I don't see a reason why they should be
kept private.
