[chapter-delegates] Re: Real-Time Meeting with ISOC Real-People :-)

Andreu, all,

I am pleased that Fred Baker would like to participate
in the real-time chat meeting.

With respect for Fred as Chairman of ISOC, because he
cannot be available March 15, I suggest we postpone the
real-time chat for one week, until March 23.

What do you think about having an informal "trial" chat
meeting on March 15, to give everyone a chance to work
out problems in joining the session.

Also, in the March 15 chat our three chapter representatives
on the ISOC Board could give us a quick summary of the
ISOC Board Meeting they will attend in Minneapolis MN USA
on March 11 and 12.

My suggestion:

March 15 chat: Trial session, everyone introduces them
selves, quick report from chapter representatives on
     the ISOC Minneapolis board meeting.

March 23 chat: Introduce Fred Baker, perhaps make some
decisions or consensus on issues raised in March 15
chat. Presentation of the ISOC tsunami initiative.

I have one fear about holding chats. What about chapters
that do not have the computer power or bandwidth? Perhaps we
should offer to send to everyone joining the chat a written
statement from any chapter-delegate who cannot join the chat?
This would be easy to accomplish -- just an email -- to give
voice to everyone.
