If ISOC HQ is not relying on $$ generated from membership, I suggest that
members could joint at the $75 if wanting to join directly through the HQ,
or join to the same level of membership through a local chapter who will
bill at an appropriate local rate, whether it is $2.50 in, say, Ecuador, or
50 Euros in Italy. Each chapter could then transmit a percentage of the
local membership cost to the HQ, say 10%, so for each membership,
Ecuador would transmit 25 cents, and Italy 5 Euros to ISOC HQ.
Just ballpark example figures, but the concept is what I'm suggesting.
