Thanks David,

I suppose this is a follow-up of the request where I asked you to
evaluate if ISOC could organize periodic conference calls for chapters
in order to help to co-ordinate some of our activities. Lest say 3 or 4
times a year or even more.

The idea could also be used in order to invite a guest speaker to give a
speech in a particular issue as example the World Summit of the
Information Society, Internet Governance, ICANN issues, IPv6 and so on.

fyi, Org members organize from time to time some phone conferences and
some of them have been very interesting e.g. the last one had as guess
speaker Esther Dyson on domain names

Best regards

Rosa

Dear Chapter Delegates:

It seems to me that the Chapters Delegates list has become more active
over recent times and now that the archives are open (from January 1st
of this year) I am hoping it usefulness as a communications tool will
increase even further. I want to ask you about other tools that might be
a good supplement to this.

Do you feel believe that we should arrange a time for a real-time
synchronous discussion among chapters once a month or once a quarter. If
so, what technology do you see as the most sensible way to do this -
instant messaging, blogging, VoIP?

I think we could rotate times around the clock so that the call hits
within a 'good' timeframe for all of us on an even basis. I could also
try to organize an opening agenda, based on input from this group but
maybe that duty is better suited elsewhere - what do you think?

Also, how do you feel about a calendar on which chapters can post their
upcoming events and matters of interest? I would like to find a way to
communicate to the Board such things but this seems to be better suited
to a calendar that a mail list. I am interested in your thoughts.
