Dear Amged,

Thank you for the feedback, I shared it with the group and they sent the following response:

"This is a fair point. Our existing network is primarily academic, so the founding membership reflects that. That said, we do have stakeholders from beyond academia, including the Sarawak Development Institute (SDI) and Sarawak Energy from the NGO and industry sides. MyNOG has also expressed interest in extending to Sarawak, which will further broaden our stakeholder base.

As a first step we have relied on existing collaborations, but expanding this is firmly part of the near-term plan."

I support the establishment of the chapter in the Borneo region of Malaysia; however, it would be great to involve founding members from different stakeholder groups at this stage to ensure a more sustainable and inclusive chapter.
