[Chapter-delegates] Congratulations Dr. Brian Haberman - Chair of ISOC BOT

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful reflections.

The role of chapter-elected Trustees and the relationship between the Board
of Trustees and the global chapter community are important topics for the
Internet Society. As someone actively involved in a chapter, I believe it
is valuable that these conversations continue in an open and respectful
manner.

Our chapters are often the closest connection to local communities and play
a key role in advancing the Internet Society’s mission on the ground.
Ensuring that their perspectives are heard and meaningfully considered can
only strengthen the organization.

At the same time, I hope we can work together to foster greater
collaboration between all Trustees—whether elected by chapters or appointed
by other bodies—with our shared objective of building an open, globally
connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet for everyone.
