I know some Chapters have an interest in resilience and emergency
response.networks.
The IEEE's position is that the smaller latency and greater bandwidth of 5G
allow for innovation in the field, especially when it comes to
deployment in unforgiving environments.
To us who have been following the IPNSIG Academy's keynotes about building
a lunar network, this is not news!
This one day workshop (the 7th such!) brings together a wide range of
experts from DARPA, DHS, FCC, NIST, NSF, Columbia University, NYU, Intel,
National Instruments, Nokia, AT&T, CERDEC, IEEE, and 3GPP., and should be
highly instructive.
Attendance is in person in Laurel VA, USA or virtual, and is complimentary,
i.e. free.
The deadline for virtual registratration is next Friday Feb 14 2025
Full details are at

Note: ISOC.LIVE does not, as a rule, simulcast or archive IEEE events, that
is the province of IEEEtv <https://ieeetv.ieee.org/>. As of now, i don't
see it on their schedule, but if I learn of any coverage,. I will post here.
