Hi all,

I wanted to share an update following the previous announcement of the 2025
End of Year campaign and Vint Cerf’s matching challenge. As noted in his
video, *Vint will match the first 25,000 dollars donated*. This creates an
early window in which support for the campaign has double the effect.

Across our community, I see the range of contributions people make toward
an open and secure Internet. Some contribute through volunteer work. Others
offer technical expertise or lead local initiatives that expand
connectivity and resilience. Many of you benefit from these efforts in your
own communities. Each of these roles reflects the strength of this network.

You also understand the environment we are operating in. Fragmentation
across borders is accelerating. Security risks continue to increase. One
third of the world remains offline. These pressures affect access,
opportunities, and trust. They also challenge the open and interoperable
Internet that has been central to global progress.

This campaign is one way for members and allies of the Internet Society to
help sustain work that addresses these issues. I have made my own
contribution and invite you to consider doing the same if you are able. For
those who cannot give financially, sharing the campaign link with your
networks or highlighting why this work matters in your context is equally
valuable. Collective action is key to maintaining the Internet we want.

If you would like sample posts or assistance with outreach, Isadora Tharin,
Senior Director of Individual Giving, can assist: giving at isoc.org.

If you have not participated in supporting the donation challenge from Vint
yet, please consider doing so before the end of 2025 if you are able to do
so!

Thank you for the work you do and for your engagement with this effort.

Happy Holidays!!
Charles
