Dear all, thank you for all the good wishes and congratulation messages. It
is an honor for me to be able to serve the Board of ISOC for another term,
and I will not take the responsibility lightly. Let's continue to work
*together* for our Internet for everyone, and continue to strengthen
ISOC's role and contribution to the ecosystem! As we are now
officially entering the challenge period, while I do not want to jump the
gun in any way, I do want to say some important words of gratitude first.

For the chapters, it is our collective win. I am very proud of our chapters
with the high voting turnout at 93.38%. We did it together. It is a
continuous progression in the last three years: 76% in 2022, to 81.67%, to
83.19% last year, to now, while at the same time, the voting base is also
increasing with more active chapters (kudos to the support of
ISOC's chapters support team!), from the 90s two years ago to 113 last
year, and 121 now. Chapters as a whole are growing and we are more engaged,
beginning with valuing the rights and the votes that chapters hold in their
hands!

I must also thank my fellow candidates in this election. Eduardo is a
selfless collaborator over the years many Internet governance efforts --
even currently. Kevin's thoughtful answers in the election forum with his
passionate call for changes in ISOC are timely and important. Danica and
Bill also enriched our field greatly and I hope we can work more closely in
the future too! I am truly honored to be with you all in the same class of
nominees!

Also, big congratulations to Barry Leiba and Sagarika Wickramasekera, who
are also elected in the organization members election -- well deserved and
looking forward to continuing to work with you. Board continuity and
infusion of new blood are always two competing goals that are both
important. With continuity in this year's election results, it is upon
Barry, Sagarika and myself to make the best of our experience to contribute
to the board. But, three years from now, there must be three new trustees
to be elected to the board, so it is a great time now to prepare and plan
for that transition too!

Thank you again,
Charles
