I have responded to Franca offlist, but I will note a couple of things here

1) Feb11 2025 is State of the Net 2025, where ISOC-DC is looking to sponsor
the webcast, and I will likely have my hands full streaming 3 tracks and
also recording the lightning talks. If it's also Digital Access Day for
Canada, that's a bumper day for Internet Policy in North America!

2) That ISOC's 3 Livestream.com channels will cease to exist in December
when Vimeo refuses to renew our subscription, as they are closing the
service.

What will replace livestream.com as a livestream platform is TBD.

I have opened an ISOC Live YouTube account -
https://www.youtube.com/@isoclive - but, for those without a premium sub,
there will be ads, plus there may be occasional problems with copyright
when music is played during events. YouTube, at least, is free and pretty
much permanent, one would hope.

Vimeo itself I don't consider a practical option because they are a
nickle and dime operation, and we will have the same issue as livestream
that, the moment one stops paying, all content disappears, embeds break etc
etc. It was in anticipation of this kind of situation that I started
archiving everything on the Internet Archive a few years back, which also
allows me to gather audio, slides, transcrips, captions in one downloadable
location. Now that is regular practice, I guess livestream expiry isn't so
big an issue.

But, as we have recently seen, the Internet Archive itself is vulnerable to
interruption too!.

Another streaming option might be a custom set up via Wowza and/or AWS.
This I have to explore. If anyone here has expertise on that front, I'd be
happy to hear from you.
