[Apologies for cross-posting]

Dear Chapter Leaders, Friends, colleagues,

I hope you are having a great week.

I invite you to take a moment to enjoy the photos of the ISOC at AfPIF2024<https://assets.internetsociety.org/web/890118357c35c394/2024-afpif--isoc--event/> and ISOC at AIS2024<https://assets.internetsociety.org/web/4fb199a46d5c8f75/2024-africa-internet-summit-networking-event/> networking cocktails we hosted during Q3 2024. I hope these memories bring a smile to your face and remind you of our organization's people-driven nature.

  * The Internet Society at the African Peering and Interconnection 2024 (ISOC at AfPIF2024<https://assets.internetsociety.org/web/890118357c35c394/2024-afpif--isoc--event/>) took place on 19 August 2024 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (RDC). It brought together 125+ community members from 27 countries, including representatives of 7 Org members, 17 Chapters, and staff members, including our CEO, Sally Wentworth—a big thank you to our DRC Chapter for being such a great host. Enjoy the photos! https://assets.internetsociety.org/web/890118357c35c394/2024-afpif--isoc--event/.

  * The Internet Society at the Africa Internet Summit 2024 (ISOC at AIS2024) took place on 11 September 2024 in Ebene, Mauritius. It brought together 50+ community members (from 16 countries, 14 Chapters, and 1 Org member) and 4 staff members. Enjoy the photos! https://assets.internetsociety.org/web/4fb199a46d5c8f75/2024-africa-internet-summit-networking-event/.

For those who have attended one of these gatherings in the past, I had a great time. Thank you for making this community so vibrant and unique.

We look forward to seeing some of you at ISOC at ICANN81<https://www.internetsociety.org/events/isoc-at-icann81/> in Istanbul, Turkey, as we mobilize to implement our 2030 strategy.

Best regards,
Victor.

Face-to-face gatherings strengthen our community ties and sense of belonging. That’s why the Internet Society has a tradition of allowing its community and staff to meet and share refreshments alongside key regional and global Internet events.
