Subject line: Announcement: Candidates for the 2025 ChAC Steering Committee
Dear Chapter Leaders,
It is our pleasure to share the list of candidates that your Chapter Advisory Council (ChAC) representatives have nominated for the 2025 ChAC Steering Committee (ChAC SC) elections over the last few weeks!
You can discover their names and answers to three questions here: https://isoc.app.box.com/notes/1654516038372?s=usu9l40uwlouzu3ajdwzkax3bg91pxni
Candidates were asked the following questions:
* 1. What motivates you to be on the Internet Society’s Chapters Advisory Council Steering Committee?
* 2. What would you like the Chapters Advisory Council to achieve by the end of 2025?
* 3. How will your experience support the work of the Chapters Advisory Council?
The candidates are now invited to present themselves and to “campaign” via the chapter delegates e-list until 23 October 2024. This is an opportunity for you all to get to know your candidates, but also to ask them questions in the run up of the elections.
The ChAC Steering Committee is a group of nine (9) geographically diverse members elected from among the ChAC representatives to lead the Committee’s discussions and draft recommendations on the topics brought forward by the chapters. Out of the 9 members, 6 are geographical representative and 3 are non-geographical representatives.
Please don't miss this chance to get to know your candidates. This will help your chapter decide who your ChAC representative should vote for in the upcoming elections!
Next Steps:
The election period will open from 24 October 2024 and will close on 07 November 2024 at 23:59 UTC.
*The voting ballots will be sent to each Chapter's ChAC Representative on 24 October 2024, and will come from the BigPulse platform.
