[Chapter-delegates] WEBCAST OCT 2 – A11yNYC – Locking in Best Practices Early: Building PACNYC.org – Vlado Vince and Natalie Kertes

In A11ySIG and A11yNYC's ongoing efforts to make these meetups even more
accessible, today, for the first time, we are going to attempt to make
available both ASL sign interpretation to both in-room, and remote
participants, and audio description for remote participants. The audio
description requires a separate stream, which will only be carried
live on A11yNYC's
YouTube, <https://www.youtube.com/@a11ynyc> so that is the best way to
access the event as it carries both streams, and also the way to comment.

There may be some audio description in the presentation too, that is an ad
hoc situation.

PAC NYC is a new performing arts venue in Lower Manhattan that required the
digital platforms from scratch. While this was a unique and exciting
opportunity to follow best practices in accessibility from the beginning,
