[Chapter-delegates] Sign-On Opportunity for "World More Than a Password Day" - due by 6 November

We received the following message from the CEO of Global Cyber Alliance about signing on to a statement for “World More Than a Password Day” (12 November), and the Internet Society is signing on.

A year ago Nonprofit Cyber published the first Common Guidance on Passwords on World More Than a Password Day. That guidance has now been revised. Here is version 2 of the Protecting your Accounts and Devices, Common Guidance on Passwords. The revision will be published on 12 November - the second World More Than a Password Day.

We are now seeking new signatories. Last year we had 90 signatories from 20 countries. Would ISOC or any of its chapters like to sign on? I'm happy to answer any questions if you want to consider signing this year.

We also wanted to give our chapters the opportunity to sign on since this guidance is essential to online safety and has a global impact. You will see in the attached statement that there are many prominent organizations and allies of the Internet Society that signed on last year.

If you are interested in signing on, please send an email from a business address to Phil Reitinger (preitinger at globalcyberalliance.org<mailto:preitinger at globalcyberalliance.org>) and Kayle Giroud (kgiroud at globalcyberalliance.org<mailto:kgiroud at globalcyberalliance.org>) of the Global Cyber Alliance with the name and email address of your point of contact for the chapter. The deadline for sign-on is Wednesday, 6 November.
